Reports suggest Milan are looking to sell Rafael Leao this summer, but while he’d reject Fenerbahce or Galatasaray, he would be intrigued by Manchester United.

The Portugal international turns 27 next month and his contract runs to June 2028, but there seems to be no intention of negotiating an extension.

The club has become frustrated with his inconsistency and repeated clashes with both coaches and teammates.

Despite scoring 10 goals with three assists in 31 competitive games this season, Leao was seen as an irritant and dropped for the final must-win game.

The reports from multiple sources in Italy point to Milan pushing for a summer sale, hoping he has a good World Cup to raise his profile, but the player is much less keen on moving on.

Il Giornale newspaper and MilanNews suggest he would reject any proposals coming in from Galatasaray or Fenerbahce, who seem the most eager to snap him up.

Instead, Leao might be intrigued by the idea of coming to the Premier League for Manchester United, hoping to follow in the footsteps of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

Getting Manchester United to make a suitable bid is another matter, as earlier this month there had been suggestions Milan tried shopping Leao around to the Red Devils, Arsenal and Barcelona, but with very little enthusiasm for the idea.
