FC Barcelona is ahead of OL and recruits the new Mohamed Salah
The FC Barcelona transfer window started with a bang with the unexpected arrival of Anthony Gordon. The Englishman, who also shone last night against Costa Rica, was recruited in exchange for €80 million. The Blaugranas caused a sensation, especially as the Spanish press assured that they intended to continue with the arrivals of Julian Alvarez, Bernardo Silva, and even Josko Gvardiol.
Since then, things have calmed down. Barça is still very far from having convinced Atlético de Madrid in the Alvarez case, while Bernardo Silva seems more likely to be heading towards one of the two Madrid clubs. This does not prevent the Culés from moving forward behind the scenes. And this time, they completed a much less expensive case. The Egyptian club Al Ahly officially announced that the Spaniards had activated the clause to permanently purchase Hamza Abdelkarim.
OL were on the spot
“Spanish FC Barcelona requests activation of the purchase clause for Hamza Abdelkarim”. The young 18-year-old striker has been on loan with the Barcelona U19s since last February. This operation will cost €1.5 million plus €5 million in bonuses. A bet on the future and there is no doubt that the Blaugranas will have an eye on their player this summer, since Abdelkarim will participate in the 2026 World Cup with the Pharaohs.
A nice blow for the Catalans, especially as Marca assures that Barça is ahead of several clubs in this file of the new Mohamed Salah such as Bayern Munich, AC Milan or even Olympique Lyonnais! It now remains to be seen whether or not Hamza Abdelkarim will succeed in breaking through in the years to come within the team coached by Hansi Flick.
