Loaned to Sassuolo since this winter after playing only 4 L1 matches in the first part of the season, Ulisses Garcia will not stay in Italy. Despite a successful experience in Serie A (13 matches, 1 goal, 2 assists) alongside former Marseillais Darryl Bakola and Ismaël Koné, the 30-year-old Swiss left-back will not see his purchase option exercised. He will thus return to Olympique de Marseille according to the Italian media.

The amount of the purchase option was estimated at around 3.5 million euros, not an insurmountable price, but it would be a rather personal decision for the player, not selected for the World Cup with the Nati. Ulisses Garcia will therefore return to the Commanderie this summer, while waiting to know what his future will hold. As a reminder, the former Young Boys player is linked until 2028 with OM.
