Maurizio Sarri is the new Atalanta coach

This Monday, Atalanta Bergamo formalized the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as head of its first team. With immense experience of more than 800 professional matches on the bench, the Italian technician arrives with a prestigious record including a Scudetto and a Europa League and takes over from Raffaelle Palladino.

The former Chelsea manager is coming off a rather successful tenure with Lazio Rome, the club he guided to the Italian Cup final last season, after securing a second place in Serie A in 2022-23 and reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League in 2023-24.
