PSG has already found a replacement in the event of the departure of Bradley Barcola!

The future of Bradley Barcola continues to fuel discussions at Paris Saint-Germain. Arriving in the summer of 2023 from Olympique Lyonnais, the French international has gradually established himself as an important part of the Parisian project. But despite his status within Luis Enrique’s squad, his future no longer appears completely locked in as the summer transfer window approaches.

In recent months, discussions around a contract extension have increased between the different parties. However, no agreement has yet been reached. A situation which is beginning to raise questions as several rumors of departure have emerged in the European press in recent weeks. On the pitch, Barcola remains a player appreciated and used (49 matches, 13 goals, 9 assists) by Luis Enrique but his status has evolved over the season. The consistency of Désiré Doué and the astonishing level of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have strengthened the competition in the Parisian offensive sector. As a result, the former Lyonnais now appears more like a luxury joker than an indisputable starter in the club’s offensive hierarchy.

PSG thinks of Ferran Torres

And obviously, PSG is already starting to anticipate all the scenarios. According to information from Sky ItaliaParisian leaders have identified Ferran Torres as a credible option in the event of a significant offensive move this summer. The Italian media explains that the double reigning European champion is carefully following the situation of the Spanish striker, whose departure from FC Barcelona remains possible despite a contract running until June 2027. A profile which ticks many boxes in the eyes of PSG.

Aged 26, Ferran Torres is coming off the best season of his career with 21 goals scored in 49 matches in all competitions. Versatile, capable of playing on both wings as well as in the center, the Spanish international also has the advantage of knowing Luis Enrique perfectly, under whose orders he has already played for the national team. Estimated at around 50 million euros, the former Manchester City player would represent a significant, but consistent, investment for Paris. It now remains to be seen whether the Bradley Barcola file will really move forward. One thing is certain: behind the scenes, PSG already seems to have prepared its plan B.
