Mason Greenwood has reportedly agreed to join Fenerbahce, so Roma need to match the Turkish side for the €50m asking price to get him from Olympique Marseille.
According to Turkish transfer pundit Yagiz Sabuncuoglu and le10sport in France, Greenwood has met with Fenerbahce directors and told them he is ready to join the club.
That doesn’t exclude Roma from the running, but it does provide some stiff competition on the transfer market.
Greenwood wanted by Gasperini

There is no doubting that the England international is top of Gian Piero Gasperini’s wish list to strengthen the attack going into the Champions League next season.
Olympique Marseille are also desperate to sell, because L’Equipe report that the debt situation is so bad, they could be excluded from UEFA competition.
Because as part of the original deal with Manchester United, the Premier League side are owed 40 per cent of the future sale fee, Marseille need to bump up the asking price as much as possible.
It had been reported over the last few days that Roma were going to make a bid worth €40m, but that is not going to be enough to sway the Ligue 1 side.
The 24-year-old plays on the right side of a trident attack and scored 26 goals with 11 assists in 45 competitive appearances for Marseille this season.
