Multiple sources report that Milan and Max Allegri will seal the contract termination by mutual consent on Wednesday, allowing him to then take over as the new Napoli coach.
Although the Rossoneri sacked the tactician in one fell swoop along with director of sport Igli Tare, CEO Giorgio Furlani and technical director Geoffrey Moncada, his contract is still valid.
So before signing for new club Napoli, he must first negotiate the termination by mutual consent.
Allegri not going to fight Milan

There had been warnings of potential legal battles ahead, with the club and coach digging their heels in over the details of the exit package.
However, this evening Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more are all confident that they are down to the final details now, and could sign the paperwork on Wednesday.
Allegri already has his next job lined up, a two-year deal with Napoli to replace Antonio Conte.
It means a reunion with former Juventus director of sport Giovanni Manna, who now works for Aurelio De Laurentiis, and they can start planning transfer strategies from tomorrow.
