Germany overthrow Ivory Coast to qualify for round of 16

After crushing Curaçao, Germany was able to dominate Ivory Coast on the wire this Saturday evening, obtaining its ticket for the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.

Merciless with Curaçao for its entry into the competition (7-1), Germany proved cruel against Ivory Coast, this Saturday in Toronto (2-1), for the second group match of its 2026 World Cup.

Already appearing to his advantage six days earlier against the Curaciens, Undav, once again coming off the bench at the hour mark, single-handedly overthrew the Ivorians who had logically opened the scoring through Kessie in the first period (30th).

Author of a liberating double (68th, 90th+4), the Stuttgart scorer thus qualifies the Mannschaft in the round of 16, even before the group’s last meeting against Ecuador. The Elephants will only have to defeat Curaçao in four days to follow the same path.
