Inter opens the door for Bastoni’s departure to Real Madrid at an XXL price
At this rate, almost half of the Real Madrid squad is preparing to change its face this summer. After a blank and failed season at all levels, there was no question for Florentino Perez of starting again with the same men next season. José Mourinho will replace Alvaro Arbeloa on the bench, and four arrivals have already been completed.
Three of them are mainly market opportunities: Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva and Denzel Dumfries (the first two arrive freely). As for Marc Cucurella, his signing has already been made official for an amount around 60 million euros. Apart from Bernardo Silva, they all aim to embody the new defense of Real Madrid, only one year after the arrivals of Huijsen, Alexander-Arnold, and Carreras. But that’s not all since the Merengue club would like to further strengthen itself in this sector.
Bastoni is €70 million
As revealed by the Gazzetta dello Sport This Wednesday, Real Madrid expressed an interest in Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni. At the end of a season that relegated him to the status of a pariah in his own country, the Italian international (43 caps, 3 goals) is expected to change scenery this summer, having been tracked by FC Barcelona in recent months.
According to the pink paper newspaper, the two clubs met in recent days in Spain during the “Corazon Classic Match”, a charity match between the legends of the two teams. The two clubs were thus able to discuss the transfer of Dumfries, which should be concluded around 20 million euros, but also on that of Bastoni, for which Inter Milan says it is “open”. But it won’t be at any cost. The Lombard club values its defender at 70 million euros according to the GoS. As a reminder, Bastoni’s contract will expire in 2028. José Mourinho will have the last word.
