Club Brugge among clubs monitoring Mert Kömür

Mert Kömür (20) is coming off a strong season with Augsburg having struck two goals and provided four assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances in 2025/26. The German youth international shone under Sandro Wagner prior to the German’s dismissal, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by some top European clubs.

According to a report by Sky Germany, Club Brugge are making a strong push to sign Kömür, who can leave the Bavarian club should they receive a top offer. But they will only make a move for the attacking-midfielder in the event that Christos Tzolis departs this summer. Alongside the Belgian side, Porto and Besiktas are interested, while Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are monitoring the player’s situation.

As for Augsburg, Kömür, valued at €12m, could well become the club’s record departure after Baba Rahman (Chelsea, €26m) and Ermerdin Demirovic (Stuttgart, €23m).
