Madrid sign Jacinto following top-scorer Weir’s departure
Real Madrid have announced the arrival of Andreia Jacinto as they begin to bolster their midfield following the exit of top scorer Caroline Weir.
Jacinto joined them from Real Sociedad, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal until June 2030 after helping her team to a third-place finish in Liga F in 2025-26.
She made 86 appearances for La Real in all competitions, scoring just three goals, though all of those came in her first Liga F campaign.
Jacinto is the latest recruit as Madrid look to improve on their second-place finish in the league and a second consecutive Champions League quarter-final exit.

The news comes after Madrid confirmed on Friday that Weir was ending her four-year spell in the Spanish capital.
Despite being sidelined for a year with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, Weir played 125 matches in that time and scored 63 goals, making her the club’s all-time record goalscorer after signing from Manchester City in 2022.
Jacinto is not the only new face in Madrid’s midfield, though, with Elisa Senss also signing a four-year contract after joining from Eintracht Frankfurt.
