Barça has found a successor to Hansi Flick!
FC Barcelona is already preparing for Hansi Flick and would have identified the ideal successor to the German on the sidelines.
As all good things come to an end, we might as well anticipate it as soon as possible. This is perhaps what the leaders of FC Barcelona are saying about their coach Hansi Flick. Just extended until June 2028, the German tactician has made it clear that he does not intend to stay in Catalonia forever.
Asked at a press conference on May 22 about the departure of Pep Guardiola after ten years on the Manchester City bench, Flick preferred to be ironic regarding a potential parallel with his own career. “ Ten years… I don’t think you’ll see me here again. At 70, I don’t think this is the place I should be. That wouldn’t be a good thing. »
Listening to this statement, Barça then became active in looking for a successor to its coach. And according to
Catalunya Radiothis one is already found.
A former Barça player on the bench?
Indeed, the Blaugrana leaders have identified Cesc Fabregas as a prime option. For several reasons. Firstly because the Spaniard is having an exceptional season with Como, fourth in Serie A ahead of AC Milan and Juventus Turin and therefore directly qualified for the next edition of the Champions League.
In addition, the former midfielder knows the DNA of FC Barcelona perfectly, with 151 matches played for 42 goals scored between 2011 and 2014. Initial discussions have reportedly been initiated, with the summer of 2028 in mind.
