Barça wants to play a dirty trick on Atlético
Atlético Madrid sees two targets move away after FC Barcelona’s last-minute bids in the files.
The war between FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid during this summer transfer window is taking a new turn. Declared by the Colchoneros due to the methods of the Blaugranas in the Julian Alvarez case judged “denigrating”this quarrel is not likely to end anytime soon.
Indeed, Barcelona leaders are multiplying avenues during this transfer window, even if it means positioning themselves on players clearly identified by the Madrilenians as priority targets, as explained Mundo Deportivo.
The first blow concerns Bernardo Silva. While Atlético Madrid saw the Portuguese as a flagship recruit, experienced and above all without transfer compensation, Barça’s candidacy came to completely reshuffle the cards. The former Manchester City player should, in all likelihood, join Catalonia after the World Cup.
Barça still in good shape
The other file, more surprising, is that of Marc Cucurella. Pushed towards the exit by a Chelsea in full reconstruction, and despite a contract which runs until 2029, the left side should be forced to change direction this summer and is of great interest to the two Spanish clubs.
Nevertheless, MD reports that the Madrilenians had positioned themselves well before their Barcelona counterparts. But the Spanish international (23 caps) would obviously be much more attracted by a return to his training club, this time with a confirmed executive status. A double whammy coming for Atlético?
