Genoa and Daniele De Rossi have reportedly decided to continue together after his arrival in November 2025, and are discussing the transfer strategy.

The Grifone were struggling badly under Patrick Vieira when De Rossi was appointed, and he turned their season around to secure comfortable safety from the threat of relegation.

He oversaw nine victories, eight draws and 12 defeats in Serie A, an average of 1.21 points per game.

The coach had said he was happy to stay on at Marassi if they had a similar vision of what to do next season, and La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Secolo XIX newspaper claim that they have now shaken hands.

A contract is being drawn up, but has not yet been signed, with plans to make only necessary sales.

Their aim is to above all reinforce the midfield and attack, keeping Tommaso Baldanzi after his January arrival from Roma.

De Rossi’s previous coaching jobs were all brief experiences at SPAL and Roma, never starting and finishing a full season.
