Théo Hernandez pays tribute to Deschamps… and to Zidane

As the 2026 World Cup in the United States approaches, Théo Hernandez was also interviewed by A.S. on the future of the French team bench. While Didier Deschamps will play his last tournament at the head of the Blues, the Al Hilal defender spoke about his current coach as well as Zinedine Zidane, regularly announced as his possible successor.

“Deschamps leaves after the World Cup. I’ve been with him since 2021, I think. He is a great coach and a great person. We get along very well. As for Zidane, I trained him at Real Madrid. I think he’s a great coach and a great person. We’ll see what happens to him after the World Cup.”
