Thiago Silva’s nice nod to PSG

PSG played a new Champions League final this Saturday against Arsenal, in a highly anticipated match between two opposing styles. Luis Enrique’s men, aligned in their typical composition, were however quickly surprised by the Gunners’ opening score, perfectly in place defensively and effective after a Parisian error. Despite controlling the ball, the Parisians struggled for a long time against a very compact English block that was difficult to get around.

We had to wait until the second half to see PSG react, notably thanks to a penalty converted by Ousmane Dembélé (65th), which completely restarted the match. Subsequently, the two teams neutralized each other until the penalties, where Paris finally made the difference (4-3 tab) to win a new historic European coronation. In the process, Thiago Silva greeted his former club with a simple, but striking message on social networks: “Champions again!” »a strong nod to his Parisian past and his more than 300 matches played under the colors of PSG.
